Ps 20 verse 1  "May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble."

At first we might think of this verse as wishful thinking. I wish God would answer my prayer.

I ask you to consider this: This is written by David.

God answered the prayers of David.

David is desiring the same for you.

Read the rest of psalm 20.

Even more important. God gives us many prayers of David in the Psalms to give words of prayer and instruction in prayer.

May you be led by the prayers in scripture to  stronger prayers in your life.

Mark 1:14-15

14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

Last night the President of the United States gave his annual "State of the Union" speech. He spoke of things that happened and things that he wanted to see happen.

You read the words of Jesus and he speaks of the state of the union between God and man. He says repent because sin stands as a barrier to to God for man. He says repent so that you would turn away from your sin and come to Jesus "who is at hand." He speaks of the Gospel for it is those words that you find forgiveness and new life in Jesus.

Come to these pages and hear about turning to the Lord and winning the Battles of Life.

You will not be misled, for you will only be asked to follow Jesus.

Blessings on your new year.
