Sunday School

Sunday School meets each week between worship services to teach the good news of Christ’s life, death and resurrection to our children and youth. Sunday School begins with an opening devotion in the church sanctuary at 9:15, and then children are dismissed to classes ranging from pre-kindergarten to post-confirmation.  Teachers employ some very fun and innovative techniques during classes, including play-acting, props, and crafts, that make lessons inviting and memorable.  As part of the Sunday School curriculum, students also have the chance to perform Christmas and Easter pageants for the congregation. This is their opportunity to share their love for God with members of the congregation.

Vacation Bible School

During the summer, most often in June, Holy Cross holds Vacation Bible School (VBS), a week-long program of Bible stories and learning. Holy Cross conducts VBS between in the evening so that all family members have the opportunity to attend. VBS includes Bible study, singing, games, arts and crafts, and socializing, and is energizing for children and adults alike.

VBS is scheduled for June 20-23, 2011, 7-8:45 P.M.

On Main Street, kids will be drawn into stories Jesus told about everyday people in everyday situations. But His stories were anything but ordinary!  Jesus turned lives upside down and hearts inside out through parables that challenged people to look at themselves and others in new and unexpected ways.
